Yellow Vintage Sweater and Purse
This weekend I leaned into October with this vintage yellow sweater, these thrifted jeans from KMK luxury consignment in Winnetka, and a beautiful yellow vintage clutch.
There's something about vintage sweaters that often carry that slightly masculine shape, the boxy shoulders and roomy sleeves. This vintage yellow sweater has that borrowed-from-him feel. Soft, a little over-sized and perfectly worn in.
Paired with denim, a matching vintage clutch, and little red stilettos to dress it up on a Saturday afternoon. My husband and I spent our Saturday doing what fall weekends are made for: Coffee at a new cafe, walks in town, and a delicious brunch after.
Fall Vintage Coat
September reminds me to slow down, to light a candle earlier in the evening, to take longer walks when the air feels new again, to lean into the ritual of getting dressed as a way of marking time.
This coat is by far my most favorite vintage coat that I own. I wear it every fall and winter to almost every event. (Not that I go to too many events) but if I get the chance to dress up and go out, this vintage coat is just amazing. There really are no words describe this coat. I bought it at a vintage fair and it came with a matching skirt. I'm also wearing a beautiful vintage purse that glows with the outfit.
September is a month of shifting moods and I find calm in it's quiet contrasts- the crisp air outside, the deeper tones in my wardrobe, the sense that slowing down can be its own kind of beauty.
Northshore Exchange Annual Sidewalk Sale- Glencoe, IL
Every summer in June, Glencoe has a sidewalk sale of all the cute shops in town. Obviously I go straight to the Northshore Exchange sale first because they have the best deals. The line out the door is insane but worth the wait. I'll post an outfit I bought in a separate post.
